Ahh... the fun you can have with fettuccine. Chipmunk (CC) on left, Suzie (white Silkie), and 3 buff Orpingtons, one of them VERY interested in the pasta Tiana is holding. Not sure yet how big the Orpington girls are going to get, they're only 2 1/2 months old and already a bit larger than Suzie.
Tiana and Suzie posing for a picture.
Tiana's baby "Angel" ? color on left and Ricky's baby rooster "Gingersnap" partridge color on the right.
Angel died this last week to some animal. We've critter proofed the coop and will be getting more eggs to hatch and hopefully get an Angel look alike.

Chickens in the classroom. Yes, everyone thinks I'm weird at the local elementary school (and everywhere else for that matter). We bring chickens and various other animals we have to the classrooms to visit with the kids. Here's a picture of Ricky holding Angel, Tiana holding Pinkie and a Serama rooster wandering around on the floor. The animals love the attention and the kids love the animals! We had 2 Serama chicks in one kindergarten class and 2 in another this year.
"Hawk" the pullet that hatched out from a batch of eggs that were in the kindergarten class this year. (7/23/2005) |
